Why the heck have the prices shot up?!?! I was on a site that's from the ehem... "west coast" and they have now gone up almost $20...
If you watch the Buy & Sell sections of shave forums, they will often come up for sale in the $55-60 range. Often in matte finish, sometimes in the chrome. My 'previously- owned' Futur….
They have always been between $75 and $90. on the sites I have seen them @. I would stay away from one of them for sure.
believe it or not, but i actually found my futur in the garage of my current rental house. when i asked my landlord about it, he said it must have belonged to the previous owner and let me keep it. it was not the best razor for a newbie, and the blade gap was not equal on both sides. i had to search youtube to figure out how to take it apart. i have since improved my technique and love this razor. keep an eye out because they do come for sale on the BST forums.
