mickey lee drunken goat

I only review soaps i feel are truly special. I received this soap yesterday and had my first shave with it this morning and wow. Its a winner.

Lather. To me there are 2 types of lathers. Thick and pillowy. Like tabac. And yogurty like mikes natural. This soap lathers like mikes natural. Very yogurty and it explodes on the brush. I only loaded the brush for like 15 seconds and had enough lather for at least 4 passes.

Lather. 10/10

Slickness. It had tons of slickness and cushion. It was my first lather with this soap so i think with some time it will get even better.

Slickness. 8.75/10

Scent. This is where this soap absolutely shines. It smells like childhood. Imagine a fat southern woman with a perm making cookies and cakes from scratch. I didn't want to stop lathering this soap on my face.

Scent. 10/10 if i could give it more i would.

Mickey lee has a winner on their hands. This soap takes the CAKE. (Pun intended )

Overall. I have to give this soap a 9.5/10

I might need to buy some just to get that fat lady image out of my head. But, at least she's not the one needing to lather up.

 

Whatever you do, don't eat it. It does not taste near as good as it smells.

Kraken is my favorite of theirs. I also hear great things about La Belle du Sud. They're also coming out with some new stuff on 5/30.

 

I hear good things about kraken. I'm very interested in la belle du sud, the new tropical soap and the one with the bee on the label.

 

Would love to try it. I tried to order two drunken goats and 2 Cocoa Maya and he wants $16 shipping for 4 tubs. He also does not take paypal. I don't think so

Maggard has all four scents in sample size for $11.25 and under 3 bucks shipping. I can buy that, and did!

thx, I almost forgot about Brads place. I buy from Maggards a lot and always satisfied. I have reconsidered the Mickey Lees though. 3.3 oz is a little small for my liking. I like at least 150 g or over 4 oz containers

Agreed. Every time i order from them its at my door in 2-3 days.

 

Received the 4 samples from Maggard, not terribly impressed with three and on the fence about DG. Might be the small amount doesn't allow the smell to permeate properly.

 

I think once you lather them up your opinion will change.
