Micro Touch One

I know it has been a few years since these were the subject of much discussion. I'm not even sure if these are still being produced.

Picked this kit up for $9.99 at a local Ollie's Outlet. Figured with the razor, stand & blades, the package was worth that.

I have a gunmetal weishi that I still use occasionally.

For that price, you can't really go wrong, especially if you use it as a travel razor*. If it gets lost/stolen/dropped & broken it won't hurt.


*just remember that if you use it in this capacity, only the empty razor itself can go in carry on luggage. The blades must go in checked luggage.

I just noticed that the package claims that the razor is "CHROME PLATED SOLID BRASS"
I guess I'll have to take it for a test shave. I expect it will be a pretty mild shaver, probably less aggressive than I like.

But yeah, I'll find a use for it - even if only occasionally.
This increases my DE collection to 5 razors. Cool.

 

It's a super speed clone. Good razor, kinda mild.

 

UPDATE: Took the Micro Touch One for a TEST DRIVE. It PASSED.
It came with 12 Dorco ST300 DE blades, so I used a fresh one to try this razor out.

Got a very decent BBS shave. Mild, yet close.
Had one very minor nick resulting from me loosening the TTO during shaving (OPERATOR ERROR!).
Otherwise, I am well pleased with this bargain.
