I just got a Milord. Krumholz does not give much info on this model so any additional info would be much appreciated. I don't think they are rare however the do appear to be scarce. It appears to be gold plated. Other than the smooth band just above the tto knob it looks exactly like my 47-48 tto silver Super Speed. Also, what is the difference between the Milord and the Milord Tech ? And is the Milord pronounced my - lord or mill - ord ? Thank You

Beautiful! The 1946 Milord. (I pronounce it mi-lôrd) The 1946 Milord and Milord Tech are one in the same. The razor was marketed by a discount house as the Milord tech. It is basically the gold version of the 1946 Ranger Tech.

That is a beaut. Others correct me, but aren't they one and the same as the contemporary Super Speeds, just with a gold plating?

The '41 and '46 Milord were basically gold Ranger Techs and the later ones were gold Super Speeds.
