Hello everyone! Was just curious who of you out there is doing some sort of Movember challenge? Several of my deputies and I are jumping on the bandwagon. We did our last shave last night (this morning) and are growing out our mustaches. (Our department doesn't allow beards). At first we were going to have a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prize, but we decided to award the winner of the best 'stache, as judged by our divisions secretary, a small stipend and donate the rest to the Movember Foundation. Who else is doing any kind of challenge?
Steve, best of luck with the contest! And unless a regulation prevents it, why not turn it into a twelve month handlebar contest?
I was going to join the movement buuuut the wifey made a comment " if your not going to shave then ... you don't need ALL that shaving stuff". That killed for me.. SWMBO thinks facial hair looks like pubic hair on the face... lol good luck Steve!
Thanks brother. Our department won't even let you grow your stache longer then the corners of your mouth. It would take me 12 months to grow any kinda decent mustache anyhow. I am one if those cops that just can't grow a manly man mustache! Hopefully what I grow isn't too gray. Lol @Jorvaljr dude that is so funny! So many comments left unsaid. Thanks for the support dude. Hope life is well with you
On about Nov 28, you guys should take a group photo wearing mirrored sunglasses and khaki summer unis, shorts preferably. Make sure everyone has a baton visible, random pump shotgun or two for effect... It will look like the fictional Washoe County department on Reno 911. Here's to SBSO and a shot at Internet viral glory!
California deputies, bad staches, feels right! You gotta admit, that show was crazy funny, and his mustache was perfect in every way.
Congrats 5O....I hope you win... This idea is hip....Maybe I could buy into the working out part...But the 'stace part would never fly around my home base...}8^)) And the last time I grew one, some of my students kept asking me if I had ever heard of "Just For Men" ? So yes, mine is too grey...there was a time though... Old '70's band pic of "The Spiral Staircase"....I'm lower right, behind the moustace....
I'd go for it but... The wife says no more mustache. It take me about three months to have a great stache anyways. One month isn't enough.
No bars? The Dark Side beckons! Full Face straight or shavette BBS will never be banned by Mrs Youngunn. Promise.
No more 'bars. I have my straight still, but need to pony up for a strop. Been neglecting the straight.
