So, today was our big move with help. The wife and I started at 6:30 am, and everyone else started trickling in around 7:30. I just now had a chance to sit down and eat... At 9:18 pm! We have all of the big furniture moved, all the appliances, all our daily necessities, but there's still a long way to go. Going to hit the rack shortly, take tomorrow to get some things put away and maybe make a light trip, then hit it hard again Monday morning, I took the day off of work...

I hate moving. I hope you get settled in quickly. It is good to have friends who are willing to help.

Hope for a move free of broken dishes and a quick return to comfort and normalcy.

    Congrats on the new place!

No broken dishes! The biggest concern right now is the pets. They are nervous wrecks right now, and they don't understand what's happening...

Moving is always very stressful and totally disruptive. I'm glad you made it through the day.

Moving can be chaotic and things feel rushed and out of whack. Hope you get settled in quick!

Almost a month later, and still not really settled in. I just finished unpacking my pipes and pipe tobacco. I forgot I had some of the stuff I found! We had a few hurdles the last few weeks, it took me two weeks and several trips for parts to get the lawnmower going, and in the midst of that an unexpected trip to the mechanic for my wife's car. Now mine is acting up... Oh, well. Head down and back to work!

If she unpacked the liquor, I haven't seen it. But, there's beer in the fridge!
