Congratulations Arief, a lot of guys have begun their wet shaving experience with a Micro Touch One or a Wieshi 9306. They are a good razor by most people's memory. I know I've had good luck with my Wieshi 9306 razors. Have you selected a soap or cream to go with it?
Congrats on making the jump to DE Shaving. You got a good razor to start with. What will you be using with it?
Congrats. That was my first too. Start looking to ordering some good blades, a starter brush, and some good quality soap. The blades and soap are a very important part of a successful shaving g experience, as is beard prep. Remember, when using a DE razor, the goal is to use as little pressure as possible, opposite of a cartridge razor.
The good old MTO. It will do for a start. I think once you experience vintage Gillette, you won't be using it much any more. Just saying... I got one just for the experience. I PIFed it.
The blades aren't that great. They are dorco blades. Order a sample pack from Amazon .. They have cheap packs with a few blades.. Trust me .. Before you start get different blades..
I will try to find some blades to try at my local convenience store. International shipping fee from Amazon doesn't justify the price of a sample pack.
Congrats on your new razor and the world of wet shaving ... if you'd like some better blades just contact me with your name/address and i'll gladly send you some blades to try (Feather,Astra, Shark, etc)
If you find some at your local store, in the USA, make sure they say Made in Israel. That will indicate Personna Reds, which are very good blades. If it is made in Korea, then it's Dorco, and pass on them.
