I placed my order on Friday the 26th and got it today (Monday the 29th). Pretty much record time if you ask me! I got the razor blade sampler pack, and also ordered a bag of cookies just for fun. I'm impressed. In the Bag of Cookies I got: An Eterna shave brush A Gillette travel razor in a case An iced Watermelon Sorbet Shave soap And a six pack sampler of Russian aftershaves I'm pretty impressed!
Egads! I hope by bag of cookies is so awesome! Makes me wish I ordered another bag... I had a lot of made to order stuff in my order, but it is in the mail.
The Russian aftershaves smelled pretty nice, though I don't know how I would describe the scents, they were all balms or gels, it little Carmex sized tubs. The Iced Watermelon Sorbet Soap I'm not too sure about personally. I am curious enough that I want to give it a try though. Haven't used the brush since I'm still trying to break in the VDH one I'll probably try the razor (though I might try and find a different handle, or see if the one from my Lord fits) in a couple weeks All in all, I'm impressed with the grab bag. Genuinely, pleasantly surprised. I guess that was the point I would count that as a good thing.
Please do not judge the soaps by how they smell in the container. When you lather with them the smell is very different. I purchased the monkey farts soap, and was put off by the smell of the puck. I was told by other people to just try it. It was a great soap, and smell was much different when using it. Long story short, don't pitch it until you try it.
You won't regret it. The scent might not be your thing, but the soap is excellent. I purchased three of the sample size soaps to try, and I am just finishing up the monkey farts. I spent most of my life using fragerence free stuff, so its kind of hard for me to branch out into different smells. I'll keep trying.
Agreed. Same thing for me with TSD Tommy Bahama Type - wasn't crazy about the scent off the puck, but I do like it once it's whipped into a great lather.
