Above is my favorite brush Vintage rubberset with Omega knot (That measures 14.5 cm!!!), I do travel 3 times a year and DONT have a travel brush, I have enough brushes so dont need another one.
I work in a factory that makes plastic botttles. I noticed we make a preform (test tube make of PET plastic that gets heated them blown into a bottle. P1040347(1).JPG
As you can see above, also pictured is 2 caps that fit (I had to source these my self as the caps are not made by my company)
The cap on the left is in original form the one on the right has been trimmed down by me to fit (Hence the home made element) I took off the inside as its used to measure out washing detergent (leaving that part in would damage the the top of the bristles so I had to take it out. I also removed the contoured outer rim just to reduce the size. I used a dremmel for this
Below is a finished ITEM. P1040349(1).JPG
Not too pretty but perfect. (I hope to get a better colour top soon lol
The interior Diameter of the preform is 3.9cm!! so it could fit other brushes. Hmmmmm

Above is another pic of the caps showing what I neede to remove

A better looking option for the cap:)
Now I have to explain to the GF why we have a bottle of fabric softener with no cap. Oh well.

    Nice!
If I may suggest, drill a hole or two at each end to help a little with airflow. That will help the brush dry should it be a little damp when tucked away.

I thought about that, but while I'm doing night shift I'm still trying to source the best cap option.
