I just received my new WSP silvertip shaving brush yesterday from Amazon. I had to take a shower this morning so I could shave with it. I couldn't believe how smooooooth the brush was compared to my run of the mill Pure Badger brush. It didn't prick me at all ( stritch?). My only complaint would be that I will have to learn to work the lather longer to get the same consistency I got from the pure badger brush. It's worth it though. And I only paid $ 70 for it. Can the Silvertips costing over a hundred dollars and more, even be better?
Over the time that I have dealt with brushes, brush evaluation, and brush making I have found one thing. Quality, comfort and price value are in the eye and on the skin of the person that is using it. For some a $20 brush is an absolute wonderment, for some a $1000 brush is one that evokes the same passion. It depends upon the materials used, the construction techniques and the price one is willing to pay. When you find a brush that performs the way you want at a price that you want to pay, that is the best thing going. I am glad you have found a brush that works for you. Enjoy!
