Finally bought a new digital camera so here's my first of hopefully more to come.
Nice! Keep 'em coming Scott. :happy088
Oh great, now there's another Scott to compete with! :happy102
That is stunning, my friend. :happy096
Very nice! Quick question.... Does it have Pat Pend or Patent No ? Thanks.
Wow, that is awesome! What are some of the distinctions of the coronation set to the regular set other than the crown on the outside of the box? I don't think the regular cases have the plastic think over the the top lining, is that correct?
that's too nice to use.
Nothing is too nice to use... That is a very pruddyyyyy razor there
My President and Diplomat cases both have the plastic liner in the lid.
Same here. I was meaning the regular #66 case.
I see. No #66 in the house as of yet, , so I would not know about that....
That thing is incredible. Absolutely incredible.
The Coronation Set´s comes in 1953, so it must be Patent Pending. 1955 comes Pat. 694.093
That's a good question Scotty and I really don't know the answer... but my guess is these were sold for a brief time and possibly to introduce a new line of luxury razors by Gillette.
The plastic lining in this set is only temporary.. very thin and only in place for purposes of packaging I suppose... nothing the like the hard plastic lining for the Diplomat.
Achim is correct (usually is!)... this set is from 1953 and has Patent Pending inside the head.
I'm going to post pictures for my #58 Coronation Set now..
Chris (MTGrayling) is either gonna love me or hate me shortly.
Here's the first photo for the Coronation No. 58.. more to come tomorrow.
those razors look amazing.
Incredible again. Fantastic finds. Thanks for sharing the pictures with us!
