I was lucky enough to run into Ron, the mastermind behind Chiseled Face soaps, at BSW3 this weekend. He informed me of his new brick and mortar store in Ontario, CA. Well today I cashed out an hour of work time that was owed to me and wandered on over. I opened the doors and, while I am not certain, I do believe I heard an angelic chorus and an angel got their wings. Ron's shop is amazing! He has just about every artisan you can think of and his inventory is increasing. He also has the full line of his products as well as Omega brushes and various blades and DE razors. Absolutely. Jeff be sure to let me know when and if you need any more Cryogen. I am testing out the pine tar soap. So far with a test lather there was no irritation! I may have found a CFG soap that agrees with my skin type.
Having met Ron the owner and spending quite a bit of time talking to him, he is truly a man who enjoys his craft (soap and scents) but is also a huge fan other artisans and wants to get their name out there as much as his. He it totally committed to bringing the best shave products to market so that wet shavers have options.
Yup! I just visited today. It took all I had not to pick up a ton of soap! Wowsers! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I just noticed that he's cutting out a huge section of customers. Read the header on top of his sign. "Men's Grooming Products and Toiletries". I'd have dropped the "Men's" out, unless I was partnering with a Sports Clips. I admit, there aren't that many women who want mustache wax, but we shouldn't leave those shavers out
Probably not. I mean, there are lots of groups that keep trying to shut those down, denying people the right to earn a living. (not kidding. Several lawsuits based on banning sideshow 'freaks' over the years)
If I recall, the woman has a relatively rare condition that causes facial hair growth. She decided that if god made her that way, she'd BE that way.
I sincerely doubt Ron intends to exclude ANYONE. The fact is, the predominant customer base he is going to attract is men. Most all of his products are male leaning, but not male exclusive. After all, ULTA has some men's products but anytime I have gone there with my wife or daughters, the store is 90% females. I never feel excluded, I just know that the primary focus for the store is women..... And that's okay
