My wife has a Gillette blue star I1. Loaded with crystals. I was considering a Super Slim adj or other long handled adj. So the question is... does length matter.
With the threat of public insult, I am going to answer this. My wife says the longer handle gives her better grip and ergonomics then a shorter one.
So, to recap..... Will's wife says length matters. (She is kinda "mean-spirited", though (in a fun way)) I say it doesn't. Yet another reason to say, YMMV. :happy088 I've used a Ladies Gillette, a Gillette Super Adjustable, a Merkur HD, and a Merkur Slant. The Slant and the Super Adjustable are my favorite two.
My gf has a lady gillette and has taken quite a liking to it. She does, however like my blue tip SS (used it for her first DE shave actually), but prefers the length of the lady gillette. Its easier to reach with.
This thread turned and went sideways exactly as I thought and gave a me a great laugh on a hard Tuesday morning. Super adjustable it is then. Mottern man... Just too many things to say and none of them can be had on this forum.
Does the length matter? Aren't all the tips basically the same length? I guess a longer shaft would let you reach into tighter areas though, I've never used a double edged razor. I assume it's not much different than a cartridge though - just lather up and get 'er done
The length does matter. It changes the weight distribution and the entire dynamics of the razor. Also, the head of each razor is completely different regarding blade gaps, head shapes, etc.
