As the title says, I am going to review the Supermax Super Platinum Tigers. I purchased them from Amazon by accident, I actually thought I bought the Supermax Titanium Sunrise as the packaging is also red. But that's what I get for buying stuff on Amazon at 2 am. 50 blades were roughly $15 with tax and shipping. This was a happy accident however. I already love the regular Supermax Platinum blades in the green and silver tucks, for me it is my goto blade in every razor. It's a consistent performer and works in all my shavers. This blade kicks all that up a notch. It's sharper, and although I have only shaved with it once, I can already tell it will last longer as well. I get about 3 shaves from the regular Plats. On this blade, it felt as sharp at the end of the shave as at the beginning, this after 3 passes plus cleanup and 2 passes on the nape of my neck. It's also a bit smoother with less drag than most blades I have used. Not as smooth as the Voskhod Teflon for me but close. The packaging is cool looking, that doesn't really matter but in our hobby it doesn't hurt. Red with a big old tiger on it. There's a promotion on these that is kinda like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. There is a gold (GOLD! (not real gold, but GOLD!)) blade in a tuck randomly hidden. You gotta hope you bought the packs with one in it. I didn't unfortunately, I opened all 50 blades looking. But it's funny if you win, you get a second prize by calling Supermax in India. Hehe that'd be expensive. Anyhow here's the summary. If you already get good shaves with Supermax blades, you'll like this blade. Sharper than most but not a samurai sword like a feather, maybe not as smooth as a Voskhod. And as always, YOUR MILEAGE MAY VARY. Hope this helped!
I'd be up for a little swap if someone has something I'd like to try, I already did 10 so I'd only want to do like 2 to 4. Just if you want to try one. Just pm me!
Yeah it does, it is kinda what caught my eye while browsing the Amazon. Lol Could you imagine the killing Gillette would make it they started selling flashy DE razors and blades and made them look cool? I'd buy it.
