I bought this beatiful stone the other day and just started to experiment with it today.

The stone is about 6x2 and is from the petite blanche layer.

What i love most about this stone is the slurry stone that came with it. Its hard to see in the pictures but if you look closeley it has quite of few layers of differnt coti and bbw.

Anyways here are the pics that i received from the seller, i havent had time to take my own. Hope you guys enjoy

Very nice indeed! I have a couple of Belgian combos, but only one of them has ever given me decent results unfortunately. But that probably has more to do with me than the stone.

If you have experience with the Belgian stones, great. If not, I would suggest a thorough perusal of Bart's coticule site.

I just gone of these myself-my barber gave it to me. It's my first honing
experience so I have nothing to compare it to. I've only used it on my beater so far. I've got a lot to learn. This website is helpful.

I've been using water. Frank the Barber used oil-he says any kind, Olive Oil will do. He also says you can use lather from your shave cream/soap. I think the slurry is for making edges and the rest for polishing. Enjoy.

I've used a few cotis so I know how to get an edge off of my old ones. Now I just have to play around and see what I can get off of this one.

The person I bought it from tho says they got some great edges from it so I'm excited.
