Curious if anyone knows the period these were made? My mother got this for me since I have been wanting one since I started wet shaving.

So going by the "Pearlduck" stamp I guess I would assume it is post 1952 but after that, I wouldn't have a clue

Yes based off the info in the other thread definitely. I was hoping maybe it could be narrowed down to like a 10-20 year period. Just for the info. I am amazed at how good of condition it is in.

Thanks. I have wanted the special no 1 strop since I first started wet shaving. I always figured I would only get one that was really used and the logos were barely visable. Maybe a few nicks in it. You know just signs that it had a lot of history to it. I was beyond excited when I saw the condition of this and couldn't believe my mother when she said it was only 60 dollars.

My mother used to restore antique furniture. Since I got into wet shaving she has been getting into it as well. Albeit she is into the history and wanting to restore razors. She has bought a few to learn how to restore. Once I get working I'm going to be buying her the tools she needs. She also wants to get a lathe and learn how to make handles. I'm not sure who fell deeper into the rabbit hole her or myself. What I do know is it doesn't matter to me as I am the one who is benefiting from it.
