Just got a great find. Old Spice shave mug with in box Old Spice soap, Black Handle Rubber set brush. 4 razors , 2 Flare Tips B-3 K- 1 Gillette Slim K-3, A 3 piece Star razor that I know nothing about, could use some help dating it with history. All for $24.oo + tax at a newly opened Antique store have pics but file too large

The Star has a light Head ( may well be aluminum) but handle is heavy, put a blade in it and looks to have a wide blade gap , will shave with it in the morning, could be a great shaver. Gorgo, what did you mean by it is a sleeper? If the term sleeper is as I'd use on a car, i'm gonna love this razor cleaned up the other razors and they look fantastic
The Star is in the general neighborhood of the pre-war Tech, relatively mild, pretty efficient if you keep the proper angle. I think they're great.
If it's the aluminum Silver Star razor, at least with an aluminum handle, it is a fantastic shaver despite the lightness. I often wish I hadn't got rid of mine just for the handle.
Head is Aluminum, Handle is Brass Shave with Star with a Astra SP blade this morning and got a BBS with 2 pass shave +light touch up, I'd equal it to my Slim @7 Tempted to open and use Old Spice soap, it would be a nice trip down memory lane but once opened Id have to continue to use it or lose it
I have one of the gold plated stars ,I think they are pretty darn good shavers.If you ever want to get rid of yours let me know.
