Got my shipping notification this morning. I'd love to have it by my Wednesday shave, but I should definitely have it in my hands before my family road trip this weekend!
Can anyone give me feedback on what teh FINE American scent soap/aftershave is like? Is it already very close to an Old Spice or Bay Rum?
Not old spice and not bay rum. It's more of a classic barbershop type scent. More along the lines of barbasol.
This should help: The Fine scents are blended to match popular scents as follows: Platinum-Creed Aventus American Blend-YSL's Rive Gauche Fresh Vetiver-Tom Ford's Grey Vetiver Clean Vetiver-Guerlain Vetiver L'Orange Noir-Terre di Hermes Italian Citrus-Acqua Di Parma's Colonia "A warm blend of bergamot, star anise seed, and rosemary, the masculine heart of lavender, geranium leaves, and clove bud, vetiver, patchouli, and gaiac wood." Some get a "classic shave cream" scent.
Finally received my L'Orange Noir. I spent about ten minutes with it under my nose. Shave was stellar this morning. An all orange day.
Not sure if everyone's seen this but Fine has a few new offerings in their shave soaps.... Lavender (based on Oxford & Cambridge) & Snake bite (unscented + heavy menthol).
Y'know, the first time I heard about Fine, I said "Hey, what's this? They're cloning other fragrances!" Now I see others doing that.
Well, right....that's what I'm now seeing, as I said. The point of what I was talkinabout is, it's probably a good thing in the personal hygiene industry these days.
