Hello and welcome to TSD from Southeastern Pennsylvania. I’m relatively new myself, and have been overwhelmed with the kindness and support and know how I’ve received. It’s a grade forum.
Here is today's shave. I picked two of the few modern razors I own, a PAA backlite alpha ecliptic slant and a PAA prismatic. The brush is a two band badger made by a friend. And the soap is one of my top favorites ever, mer shavings Fougere Orange donkeys milk soap. Unfortunately right now I don't have any brushes that I made because they've all gone to other homes, and I've spent so much time making brushes for other people I haven't had time to finish one for myself.
Welcome! I prefer vintage razors as well. Hope you can work out the size issue so you can share some pics of your brushes.
This is the first brush made about 12 years ago. I have reset the knot now into a vintage handle. Back then I didn't know anything about proper loft. The handle is ebony with no finish. And a black badger knot.
And here is the best one I've ever made. For starters I made the material myself out of black linen material brass shavings and fiberglass resin. I had a total of about 20 hrs into the brush but the time it was finished. It has a CA finish and a Maggard SHD fan knot. I made it for a good friend of mine.
Mine makes correction when I try to spell some word in a goofy way. No sense of humor on this thing, I tell ya.
