So after the PM I received from sparky5693, it is time to introduce myself.... I am new to the community (and the fellows of Badger & Blade, ShaveMyFace.com & Straight Razor Place....) but certainly not to shaving. Started out some 20 years ago with an electric razor, but stepped up to the wet shave after about 3 months because I did not like the result of the electric "thing" When I could affort it, I bought the T8 Best Badger brush from Kent and a Merkur 23C razor and use both together with Proraso soap for about 12 years now. Every now and then I move over to the Semogue 730HD Shaving Brush that I have since a couple of months and La Toja shaving cream. And I love to shave every day Now, since about 6 months, collecting interrest is towards the straight razor and I have a Filarmonica 13 Doble Temple and a Dovo Bismarck. And more to come..... But shaving with a straight razor is something I do not dare yet :ashamed001 Well..... That´s about it. Looking forward to talk to you all Cheers, Rene

Yeah, that's my story kinda. I never was satisfied with any electric shave, and I hated using the Bic + goo combo. DE wetshaving with soap and brush is like heaven compared to that mess.
