I found this site while hunting around for a good Canadian site to by supplies from. Menessentials seemed to always be out of what I like - and the Fendrihan site looks good but I haven't ordered anything - yet. I was lucky enough to be given a Merkur Futur with the stand, silver tip brush, bowl and stand a few years ago. The dish is fairly useless because it gets messy when I don't wash out the soap (why would I, right?). I'm happy with what I use - Jack Black Face Buff, Col Conk soap, huge generic alum block (that I've had for years and seems to have not shrunk) and Anthony Logistic aftershave balm (usually only in the winter). For some reason, I'm still a bit of sucker and will occasionally buy something new but it rarely makes its way into daily rotation and eventually dries out/gets tossed/used to clean the sink. Currently, I'm trying out REN Tamanu High Glide Shaving Oil that I picked up in Chicago at the CO Bigelow store. In the container, the smell is weird but it sorts itself out after rinsing and is very refreshing and healing - and doesn't require the alum block or moisturizer afterwards. Looking forward to finding more ideas...
Welcome to the den! Enjoy your shaves! If you're looking for Canadian sites, Rasage Poulin is pretty good, too.
Hey thanks for that - I'm also in Calgary, and had not heard of them before! Cheapest price for Col Conk (especially since they allow local pickup) that I've seen yet!
