Feeltheburn said it best, we are indeed living in a golden age of shaving. 2 new razors (that I know of) were proposed to either be here already or be here soon. 1-The Huntlee. From what I understand there will be 2 versions, both single edge with screw on handles just like our favorite DE's. One would take the standard half de blade the other a feather type blade. 2-Razorock has a slant, yea,thats right. I read an old post that said it was to be released before Jan. 2014. Just like the SE Huntlee, Razorocks offering has not been released. I for one can hardly wait for thease new tools. Now my information was obtained through youtube and a search of old posts so I may be off a bit. One way or another, new tools will just add to our already out of control RAD. Especially if they perform as expected. Bright days ahead for shavers indeed.
That is the prototype. The Italian Barber Facebook page shows the finished product. It's black anodized aluminum.
I'm waiting on the Cobra 2 to be relaesed maybe this quarter. It's the only razor that I have my eye on for now.
The price has kept me from the cobra. I hear good things about it however. So any release date on either?
According to the Italian Barber Facebook page the RazoRock slant will be released any day now. They say they will announce the release on a weekend morning to make it as fair as possible to those who work during the week. They are selling the first 150 at near cost of $49.00 with the condition that those who buy them be experienced with slant razors and be willing to submit a review of the good and bad about the razor. After the first 150 are gone they will revert to the normal price which they only describe as "fair".
Well, aren't we all just a bunch of luddites here? Wait...hmm...oh.... (hides his manual film cameras, 100 year old razors, manual coffee grinder and vintage sportsjacket...)
