After using one of my stock Wapi razors and realizing just how unbalanced it was, I decided to do a re-scale. The new scales are Chakte Viga and I used the removed scales for a template. Made a brass spacer out of bar stock and pinned it all together with brass rod. Finish scales with some tongue oil. This wood will darken a bit with age but will keep it's orange color. The razor handles mush nicer now. Still can't believe how well these Wapi's shave.
Great job with the scales. Pin placement is good, the profile is proportional, and the wedge is a nice touch. I really like seeing everyone's work. When it's this good, it keeps me on my toes...
