Hi folks, my name is Joe and I am new to the forums. I am 60 years old and I’m from Vienna, Austria. I have been interested in “wet shaving art” for just over 6 months or so now, so I guess I’m still a newbie to the hobby. Despite of a few months in younger years I always have been a wet shaver but was using shaving foam and safety razors to do an unpleasing procedure very quick. Now I’m well equipped with a dozen of straight razors and about 20 safety razors and all kind of blades, brushes etc., etc.,. In the meantime I had to buy a new bathroom to store all my goodies in proper style. Kind regards and I hope to benefit from your experiences, Joe
Welcome to The Shave Den! You are in good company here! We have more australians on the forum Joke! Vienna is a lovely city! I have had the pleasure to visit there once and was dazzled with it's beauty!
Welcome, welcome! Now that's the right attitude - a man who is prepared to buy a new bathroom to fit his shaving paraphernalia is alright in my book :happy088 James.

Servus, Josef--es freut mich immer jemand aus Europa hier zu treffen! Herzlich Willkommen, und viel Spass!
Cool! Someone ELSE who's got some experience under his belt! (JoAnna...:rolleyes005) In case you're wondering about the Australian reference, long story, but it's here. It would be all in good fun if it wasn't so sad! Welcome to TSD, Joe...enjoy your stay!
Hi guys, thank you very very much for the nice and cordially welcome. Looking forward to a great time here Regards Joe
newbie Hi, Joe from Austria. You sound really interesting. I'm a newbie also, but... I must make a confession. I started shaving around 1966. We didn't have much for shaving then. But I couldn't stand a DE razor. Those things gave me the creeps.
Joe, dein Englisch ist ausgezeichnet--ich bin sehr beeindruckt. Es ist viel, viel besser als meine, und ich wohne in Kanada. :1respect
