    I have the 220/1K stone...it's nice and makes short work of large chips...:)

    I have a japanese 1k. I use it on every ebay special to establish a new bevel. After that it is a cinch to get the razor honed on my Norton's.

    Here I was ready to order and I see the dates of the sale is Dec 29 through Jan 31..
    SIGH!
    I just ordered two stones 220/1000 and a 4000/8000 fpr ~ $96 shipped. I will see if the flattening stone and stone holder is on sale when it comes round.
