I have this very early first generation pre 1950s NOS Filarmonica 14 coming my way in the next few weeks, comes with original paperwork including dates a very very rare find.
Mike I couldn't believe my luck I've been looking for a good pre 1950s JMP Doble Temple for years to go with my very early pre 1950s Especial 14, I even joined a Spanish shaving forum with hope of landing one but no luck, then last week a Dr friend from the UK for whom I've honed a few razors through the years put a picture up of one so I naturally congratulated him and asked him where on earth did he find a NOS Doble Temple JMP? Well he quickly sent me a PM asking did I want one a NOS JMP 14 because the seller had two so I moved rather quickly to close the deal, now the Especial as a close friend they could have even been produced on the same day now there's a thought. Pre-1950 versions will NOT have "FABRICACION ESPAÑOLA / MADE IN SPAIN" stamped on the rear of the tang Three main iterations of the "Especial" model (in order; transitional anomalies exist) Tang shows curved Jose Monserrat Pou with stylized eagle (IMPERIAL brand), tall & vertical "14" Tang shows IMPERIAL brand, straight Jose Monserrat Pou, short & horizontal "14" with lyre Tang returns to curved Jose Monserrat Pou & tall/vertical "14", but with "FILARMONICA" These would also have the 'musical' Especial/Filarmonica gold seal on the blade face New white box with "Especial Para Barbas Duras" - the original EPBD
