I'm sure I would look worse than that. I'll stick with thesE for a while before I get into straights.

OK I shaved with the Ladas in my triangle hole ball end tech today. I lathered up Proraso green in the tub with my WD synthetic in my old spice mug and painted it on. Had enough lather to shave an elephant at least 2 passes. I was wary of the blade since its cousin the Voskhod tears me up so bad. I set blade to face and completed my WTG pass, no pain. It even cleared stubble decently. So relathered and started XTG, no pain. DFS. I was feeling lucky (and I had too much lather to waste) so I set up for a XTG pass. Nearly BBS but with irritation on my neck. Cold water rinse and some Nivia sensitive balm and I'm pleased with the blade. It doesn't preform as well as some others for me but I can use it unlike the Voskhod.

Tomorrow I start on the personna blades starting with the reds then moving on to the blues. Changed my mind about trying the med prep this time. I'll decide a suitable replacement before too long.

My 30 Day Focus is continuing to bear fruit....Every day, it feels more and more like I've been shaving with this Schick Simplified Automatic Razor every shave of my life...The angle that felt a little awkward at first now feels perfectly normal...And the superior shaves I'm getting, are becoming the norm....

Shave #3 with the Rapira Swedish Supersteel in my New LC.
Did face lather and 2 full passes: Pass 1 XTG. Good reduction. Pass 2: ATG. Almost a DFS at this point. A cold water rinse followed by some touch up caught the baby. The Aqua Velva was mild today.

A nice comfortable BBS from the Rapira Swedish Supersteel in the New LC. A much better shave than yesterday. I think because I paid attention to basics. I slowed down and paid close attention to my angle of attack: I rode the cap and listened to the sound of the blade on my face. Very pleased. Great way to start out the week.

Hope everyone has a nice Monday.

    Lather – Mystic Water Lime

The shave this morning was over the top. I made a shave stick with Mystic Water aka Tricky Water soap which really makes this soap much more user friendly. I had enough rich slick lather for 4 or 5 passes. Loaded with a fresh Feather blade I went with a traditional 3 pass shave paying very close attention to my trouble spots as I went. After rinsing with cold water I could see the baby was in sight, so I touched up the trouble spots and got the BBS. This morning's shave would make a Drill Sgt. pleased. Finished off with a splash of Fine L'Orange. Hope everyone has a great day today.

I really like your idea of making shave sticks, I have a couple of soaps I may do that to. Great shave, and PICTURE!!

I still need to get more comfortable using the stick. But it's working out pretty good so I ordered 5 more empty tubes yesterday.

Mike's Natural soaps are fantasticO!! This is one worth waiting for. Slick, cushion-y, great scent, wonderful post shave. The #2 knot Dura is interesting, it has the backbone of a boar, but softness of a synthetic. The Gillette Aristocrat makes me happy. It shows that my technique has finally gotten to a place where I can get a great shave with just about any razor, at one time I got rid of most of my Gillette TTO's because I couldn't get a good shave. 3T's......

That has been my experience doing 30 Day exercises. It seems I have the time to develop the proper technique to be able to fairly judge the razor performance.

l love this idea. When I use the shave stick method, I get better results than with any other method. I have given up bowl lathering almost completely. I can totally see myself converting all soap to shave sticks. My fave these days!

Ah yes...the 3T's! I wonder how many razors and blades have been PIFd away because the owner didn't possess or learn the proper techniques?

I face lather exclusively anyway. With difficult soaps like Mystic Water, I have found the shave sticks really work better for me than loading the brush off the puck. I'm sure I will master using the sticks over the next couple of weeks.
