I ordered a brush, soap, and a bowl from James at Odin's edge (http://odinsedge.auctivacommerce.com/Disclaimer.aspx?ReturnUrl=/Default.aspx) a month ago. I have used the brush and soap a dozen times now and I thought I'd give them a review. The soap is marvelous: thick lather, slick feel, and good cushion. The scent is simple and clean but utterly intoxicating (Rum spice and patchouli, he has several others as well). I will be purchasing more of this soap in the future. Now, on to the brush; this is a wonderful piece. The handle, turned from ambrosia maple, is well-balanced and easy to hold. The grain is beautiful, and the knot the densest I have ever seen or used. He said that his wife makes the knots, and I congratulate her. I got the 26mm knot. The hair, his premium silvertip, is at once soft and yet still springy and scrubby enough to work well with soaps. The bowl is turned from Royal Mahogany and is coated on the outside with Japanese urushi. I could not be more pleased. James was a pleasure to deal with and gave me a lot of room to specify exactly what I wanted.

    Cheers,
    Colin
