I'm going to start this off by saying I use "Old Spice Original High Endurance Anti-Perspirant" now while it says "original" i'm not sure if it actually is the original old spice scent because I have yet to smell the cologne or anything to compare it to. So for this two part question I would like to find a shaving soap that smells like my deodorant. I say it that way because once again i'm not sure if that's actually the "original" old spice scent. I guess i'm hoping that someone out there uses my same deodorant and already went through the process of matching a shaving soap to it. Secondly I really love the smell of leather. Has anyone found a great leather scent they could recommend? I found some that Mama Bear has on her site but I didn't order a sample or anything because I read she was looking to close down and didn't want to become addicted to a scent I wouldn't be able to get in the future.
I'm not sure how close it is to your deodorant but The Shave Den has Old Spice type scent. They also have a leather scent.
Haven't tried TSD's Old Spice scent, but the TSD Leather is spot on, like walking into a leather store! If you haven't already, be sure to check out the TSD Shop.
I have tried TSD Old Spice scent in the soap and in the Cologne, and I like them both a lot. Not sure about how closely they will match your deodorant, as there are small differences even among Old Spice deodorants vs antiperspirants. I use the deodorant my self. However, I am confident the TSD OS scent will put you in a very compatible neighborhood with your OS deodorant.
I use the high endurance from time to time - it unfortunately smells nothing like the classic old spice scent. The actual cologne and aftershave scent is far better in my opinion.
Im glad that someone has tried and recommends the leather scent at TSD. This is an easy place to purchase a sample or something so ill have to do that soon. As far as the Old spice scent goes I was hoping that my type of deodorant was an exact match to the original old spice scent but what can you do. I ordered a sample of Mama Bears "Aged Spice" and if its a match or really close to what I wear then ill have to order a crate of it out of fear of her closing down but if I find its not really what im looking for ill definatly be looking at the old spice here at TSD in my quest to have a consistent smell.
