Finally got my hands on one. Found on the Bay. I have great memories of my Father using this soap. When I was a kid. It was all he Used Old Spice. Can’t wait to shave with it. It says Belgium on the bottom of the Mug. ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I remember having one of these during my college days (a long time ago in a place far away). They were particularly popular as Christmas gifts. Just looking at that mug I hear the Old Spice whistle play in my head.
Niiiice catch! I got an Old Spice shave mug on eBay but it didn't come with the puck or original packaging. It's a great bit of vintage shave gear. Enjoy!
I think that’s the one I was watching. I planned on getting back to that one, but forgot about it. Congratulations!
Ok fresh out of the Shave Den. Now I Know why my DAD Loved this soap. Lathers Easy, slickness is Great. Love the sent. I will have to to start with a Dryer Brush next Time. ( my bad ). Also used my R41 with 4 Days growth and first time using a personna lab blue blade. 3 pass BBS no Touchups Required. All in all great soap. Going into my rotation for Sunday shave. Here's an Old Spice trivia question-what is the fancy word used in the famous Old Spice jingle? (hint-by "fancy" I mean with an odd spelling).
It’s a nautical term... A boatswain (/ˈboʊsən/ BOH-sən, formerly and dialectally also /ˈboʊtsweɪn/ BOHT-swayn), bo's'n, bos'n, or bosun, also known as a Petty Officer or a qualified member of the deck department, is the seniormost rate of the deck department and is responsible for the components of a ship's hull. The boatswain supervises the other members of the ship's deck department, and typically is not a watchstander, except on vessels with small crews. Additional duties vary depending upon ship, crew, and circumstances.
so much for my "bozin"...well, at least it sounds similar to "bosun". Thanks for the explanation of what he does.
