I used to shave with this cream every so often when I first moved to Canada and since many years now, it's no longer in production here. India still produces it, and the stuff is still just as nice, with the same great lather that lasts, same classic Old Spice scent, and same great skincare. The price may not be the cheapest, but I feel it's darn well worth it! JoAnna and Bobby, thanks so much for bringing this stuff back!
I bought it for the scent... ...but as it turns out, it's shaving qualities are very, very good. Big fan of the OS scent since I smelled it on my Dad and stuck with it during the years it was considered "old man". I never knew the SC was available until recently after a tip from a fellow member. Very nice lathering, good lubrication and protection and did I mention I like the scent? Great!
This couldn't have come at another right moment from you crackstar ! This has been my fav cream since years more so than Godrej and Indian Palmolive, one is purely its fantastic perfume - the original. But also I believe this lathers better than a Godrej... I am not so much of a fan of the lime and the musk, but this one is just the best !!
TSD Old Spice Orginial Sample I am working my way through a bunch of TSD Store samples, this one of the Old Spice Original cream. This one is a lot stiffer than the other creams that I have tried in either sample form or in full version - at the other end of the spectrum is Kent (this stuff is almost liquid). Its scent is rather subtle, so if you like a smelly cream don't go looking here, go get some Kent (I can smell that stuff down the hallway at home). Not very moisturizing but it did manage to protect me from the most agressive double edge that I have. Sure I would buy it again, but if I did I would buy the full version rather than another sample. I also have a sample of the fresh lime so that one will most likely be next. Don't recall this scent on my pop, he always used the soap version. One of my granpop's used it as I can recall him squeezing the tube into the palm of his hand, as he was a hand latherer, I am a bowl latherer. Ease of lathering - not the easiest on that I have tried to lather, neither is Kent, that honor goes to Arco Commando which seems to lather up real well. It lubicrates real well and the price is ok.
I think the Old Spice Original is a very average cream. It works. Ok. But nothing more. There are many other SCs that are better. I gave the scent a two because I need something lower for the musk. If you can't get the cream directly in India I think it's very overprized and just for OS lovers.
