Been straight shaving since 1965. Taught by Grandpa to shave and to sharpen and maintain razors. He gave me a Dubl Duck 5/8 and a Swedish razor along with his old 3 line Swaty and a wonderful 6x2x1 translucent that he used as a machinist in the navy. I was the only grandson of many who spent time learning about his life and many of his skills. He was a submariner in both world wars. I'm retired in the boondocks of Kentucky. Welcome! I remember my grampa using his straight razor like it was no big deal, pretty impressive. I have a few myself, but everytime I use them I'm scared lol. I got to dedicate more time and get used to it.
