For the cost it is a decent syn. Not nearly as soft as the Plisson (or Stirling), but still a good lather generator.
I am assuming that Stirling and Plisson are basically the same knot, per GDC's write up. I had considered an Omega, but it's looking more like Stirling now for my second synthetic.
I'd take the Stirling over the Omega mainly due to its size (BIG!) and softness. Both make a fine lather, but the Stirling is a great value.
thanks to OP / @cubancigar2000 for finding the deal and starting this thread! my first brush/razor purchase since my opening kit ... a 50% off 10066 ... YES! (oh, the simple things in life ...) Mr. Omega Boar, i'd like you to meet my good friend Mr. EJ Badger. Mr. Badger, our new friend and companion, Mr. Boar. and since mr. boar's been hanging around in the stink farm recently, we're gonna give him a bath tonight. and, oh, btw, mr. badger ... that place you've been 'hanging around' recently ... well, after his bath, we're gonna let mr. boar try that out for a few weeks ...
I received the correct one today. Bullgoose made things right. Of course I decided to buy something else on the replacement order
