One Year Ago! Time does fly! You know how this works, as I bet most of you started out as I did, you looked at the price of you next batch of carts and thought, there has to be a better way. So you do a search on the web for good prices on shave stuff and stumble across this forum. Wow! Look at all the money I can save! (Insert evil laugh here). I can get 100 blades for $10! Fast forward to today... I have found my blade in the Feather, which is about $27 for 100, and I get 2 three pass shaves with them in all of my razors, except when I use a straight razor, then I get 4. I have enough shave cream/soap, shave brushes, AS, cologne, and vintage Gillettes to last many many years. I just started using straight razors, I now have 2 Dubl Ducks, my new RAD. Using a straight has made me pay very close attention to what I am doing with the blade, and that renewed discipline has made my DE shaving much better. Shaving was a chore that is now fun, and learning from all of you on this form has been a wonderful experience that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Oh, I'm also saving lots of money, he,he. Thank you all for all you share, the great stories, pictures, and knowledge. Gotta go, I gotta bid on the straight I saw on the bay, like the one in the SOTD.
Happy anniversary!! hahaha I thought I was going to save money as well. once I started wet shaving it turned into an obsession.
