As it says folks, I'd love to know your thoughts on the above as I'm looking for an inexpensive but good lime cologne and this seems great value. I know PC is an old and respected American brand and I'm an old-fashioned guy at heart so let it out and tell me what's what, please. Thanks!
http://www.amazon.com/Clubman-Pinaud-Lime-Cologne-401800/product-reviews/B00132CL3S Never heard of it before, but I'm a fan of the regular pinaud clubman, so I imagine it's good stuff. Reading the reviews on amazon (U.S.) it sounds great!
Howdy! I used some of the Lime Sec last night after shaving before going to a football game. It's a great scent and is aromatic for a while. It does not seem to last all day; however. It is in my rotation of scents, after shaves and colognes, in particular. Always, Gene
I've used the original clubman, special reserve and virgin island bay rum. The original is my favorite, the bay rum I like, but can burn like fire . "lol" The vanilla and lime sec are on my to get list also. I hope you post a review if you get the lime.
Have you tried any old standby's: Aqua Velva, Aqua Velva Ice, Old Spice, Mennen Skin Bracer or Florida Water(it can also light your fire )
I didn't try it yet, but I plan to. I can't find a good vendor who carries it ,with decent shipping rates for my place. The stuff is cheap enough but the shipping rate is outrageous.
Love Old Spice! A friend sent me some vintage Shulton Old Spice cologne and I love it. I've had fancy, posh stuff that cost a bit of money (when I was young and flush) but nothing beats the real thing. I wish I'd been around to try the OS Lime & and the Burley. And then had the foresight to put a tonne of the aftershave and cologne into cold storage so I could use the old Shulton stuff forever. Even the stuff Made in England that I used to be able to get over here about 10 years back smelled better than the Euro stuff doing the rounds now - felt better on the skin too. I note OS is made in India too, any good? I see they do lime as well and shaving creams. I'd love to try a few in the Clubman range as there is just something olde worlde American barbershop about them that really intrigues me.
I was going to ask you if you'd tried the modern Shulton Old Spice made in India? I hear its better than the P&G version. How about the clone made by Vie Jon, I hear thats good also, but so far I'm not having any luck finding it locally.
I just looked up the PC lime cologne, is that ever cheap. The lime I use is now $ 60 for an 8 oz bottle plus shipping. I don't know how you can complain about shipping costs!
I have the Lime Sec in a sample. It smells good, but hardly lasts. I like Stephans Island Lime much more. Both go well with Osage Rub.
