Whenever I apply Osage Rub following a shave, my face feels like it's on fire for about a minute before the cool factor kicks in and everything feels excellent.

Is this normal, or am I sensitive to its high menthol content?

You must be sensitive to it. It goes straight to chilly for me. No burn for me. I do mix is with a light balm though(TGR ASB or TSD AS milk). Helps add to the moisturizing.

It doesn't burn for me, but then again about the only thing that does is the Clubman Bay Rum.

If you had no reaction from Aqua Velva then it isn't the menthol that's burning you. It does have a decent amount of alcohol in it, so that might just be what does it.

I don't get a burn from the OR either. Just straight to :anifrozen

Actually, I'm waiting for mine to come in....I haven't heard anything about it....

I don't get much burn from the Clubman Bay Rum, either. Some, but not much...

No, I get a slight soothing burn from traditional splashes...

Osage is not a traditional splash - it's comparatively low on alcohol, doesn't set on fire, etc.

When I put it on my face it's a BURN - like maybe so cold it's hot type burn. The it turns into just frosty, which I like.

Habibi, you must to try this Alcolado Glacial, because FRIGID is less than accurate the description of the coolness. No burning at all--from zero to BITTER-COLD! :D

Here in Montreal, it is very well-known and well used stuff, and not high in price. ;)
