Can Osage Rub be purchase locally, or must it be mail ordered? I'm in South Central Jersey, right across the river from Philly.

I keep seeing it pop up in the SOS by so many of you fine folks. I'd like to try some if I can get my hands on any, but where?

Hi Swarden43! I'm from Jersey too. I lived in Roosevelt and Ewing.

I think it should be mailed ordered and ordered online I haven't seen it in any of the local stores in my area either. The only place I have seen it is at the haircut place in Herndon near the K Mart.

I had to order mine online from a Barber Supply site (since closed), and ordered 2 bottles to make the shipping worth it.

You might try a local beauty supply store...that is where I have only found it.

Steve, you and I are in the same boat. I have been checking anything even remotely related to barber/beauty supply for the last month. Online it can be found for $4-$5 a bottle but shipping is $8ish. I'm just keeping an eye on the bay and amazon and one of these days there will be a free shipping bottle pop up and when it does, I'm on it. Unless you pounce before I do

I have checked all of the local places too (CVS, Walgreens, Sally's, ethnic beauty supply) I could not find it locally either.

After looking online, I ran into the same issue at battle.munky with high shipping. But in the end, I ordered mine from appleton barber supply because all of the stuff I ordered only cost $10.00 flat rate shipping.

Thanks guys. I'll be honest and say I haven't checked the beauty supply stores. I'll have to have a look-see.

Atlanta Barber supply has it. Last time I checked it was about $7 or $8 a large bottle.

I was in Atlanta this weekend, but couldn't get over to the brick and mortar location.

I don't think it is a national company. I guess that didn't help much, huh? I did take a look and it is $4.50 for a 14 oz bottle.

It is a small shop, but has a ton of products like that in there. I bought a bottle some time back, but not being a huge menthol fan I gave it to a freind.

Lot's of menthol and alcohol. It made my eyes water from the vapors for a few minutes.

If you have an old fashion Barber, they might carry it, or they could mail order it. I found a barber that placed a monthly order for various supplies, and if I could wait a month, he wouldn't charge me for shipping.

Got it cheap at local ma and pop shop. You can check at beauty supply or Sally's but they're generally overpriced so I avoid them at all costs.

I heard Sally's discontinued it. Plus, they always look at me like I'm doing something wrong when I go in there!

hahah you and me both my friend! When I was shopping around for hair clippers their Osters were seriously marked up it's not even funny. I bought online and it was much cheaper plus since it was well over $60 it was free shipping.

I've been to the brick and mortar store, it's just a couple of blocks from work. That was the first time I had seen aftershave in gallon jugs. Granted, I don't know that any of them were anything a person would want for personal use, but I picked up a few bottles of Clubman, the Osage Rub, a dozen linen towels, a Col Clonk brush and soap, a shaving mug and some other items I can't remember at the moment. I've been meaning to take another walk over there to pick up some hair tonic and other items.

I say all that to say the store may be in a questionable part of town, but they were super helpful to me and had exactly what I wanted. Their shipping charges are $7.95 under $60 and free over $60. If you're ordering a lot of stuff, it would be worth checking them out.

After I mail ordered my first bottle, Sally's down in Largo started carrying it. About $5 for a big bottle.
