That is correct. I would never have seen it if I had not shaved my head. In fact it was my dermatologist who first saw it and sent me for surgery. Now I have about a two and a half inch scar on top of my head.
Melanoma is no joke. Glad it was caught in time. I watched my FIL fight it as long as he could. Only reason I started using sun screen on my head. I normally just cut my hair with no guard. I shaved it once and it was a pain. My hair is so thick it took about 5 disposable cartidges and a trip to a barber to finish it off. Now I just use no guard about once a week and fade my beard into it.
