Any of you P-160 fans ever try Acca Kappa? I had a sample of P-160 and thought they were similar in scent and performance. Both were discontinued, another random coincident?

I made the move away from cans after this was discontinued so never got a chance to try it. Can't wait for the release. I've been thinking about a kilo of Cella but I'll wait until I can try this first.

Why do companies need to make LE soaps? I am sorry but I do not understand this. Sure a Scuttle, Brush or even Razor but not something that needs to be replenished.

Different product from what I'm talking about.
Actually, I think the stuff I'm talking about is considered a cream but it's not to far away from being similar to a Italian soft soap. Here's a pic of the lid. This Accu Kappa is not in puck form.

Hmm... well if it's coming back, I'll have to try it. So many fans, even if I don't like it a lot, chances are I'll like it enough :)

    Neolithium I am Canadian, eh

Depends some soaps from RazoRock are limited because he strikes deals for specific amounts for their soaps to re-brand and sell for less such as ABCBA or MCMXXIV. P.160 wasn't a limited run, it had been in Italy (Just not distributed in North America) for decades in the 1kg block size for barbers.

I don't recall why the company discontinued it, unfortunately.

blanka I will not eat my shaving products. Promise.

I think at least in RR's case, he just enjoys putting out a once-yearly limited edition soap. I think it can be difficult getting into an artisan's regular rotation for soap production. It also seems like he sometimes is able to make a one-time production agreement with certain manufacturers (that's just a guess based on observation, I have no inside knowledge of it).
The artisan who created it retired and he retired P.160 with it. However, by the end, it was the artisans working for him who were doing the actual production. The new version is made by the same crew.
