For those of you who appreciate carbon steel blades, don't miss this one. It has quickly become one of my favorites of all the vintage carbons I have used. The first shave is a tad rough but tolerable. After that it smooths out and delivers close, easy shaves with zero irritation. Shaves three and four were especially nice. I pushed it just to see what it was capable of but it was giving up the ghost into shave six. Highly recommended.
Oh man, you are gonna be mad at me for telling you this then....I went antiquing the weekend before last and passed up about 30 of them. There was a vendor who had a box of about 100 assorted blades and a decent proportion were PALs, I'm unsure if those are the exact blades or not, but he had more than any other. A sample pack of blades you can't get once you find out you like them, I passed.
