Wow, only 15 beans in the soup? That's pretty tight rations. I would think you would put at least a couple hundred in there.

And 15 different beans at that! Must be the leftovers of the rations.

    Pulled from the freezer.
Home made Pinto beans, with ham and sausage.
Served over rice. With a side of toasted bagel, with butter.

Made with steel cut oats? Looks like they might be.

The container (and recipe) said "Old Fashioned." I don't know if that's the same thing.

No, those are rolled thick, I think. Not quick cook but not steel cut either.

oh okay well in any case the recipe made a point of them being the kind you have to cook.

A friend sent over some fresh herbs from her garden, so we had rosemary and thyme crusted pan seared pork chops, broccoli cheese casserole, and corn. Twas delicious.

Chicken, shrimp, red chili and corn tortilla soup. No ale tonight. Got to change the keg. Just drank the last delicious half glass. I do got some ice cold Dixie longnecks though.

We had chicken-apple sausage with basmati rice & pink beans. Yummy!
As it is Passover, I had matzah brei for lunch.

Homemade enchiladas, with homemade enchilada sauce. Yummy. Even my uber picky 9 yr old inhaled it, and that's saying something.

My wife is glad I have time to cook because I'm home.
Yesterday's lunch beans and weenies (beanie weenie).
Last night baked samon, home made baked french fries, greens.
Today home made potato soup for lunch, barbecue chicken and veggies or steam fried cabage for supper.

I saw where they were pouring out milk because of low sales.
I can't find any yogurt anywhere, but plenty of milk.
Well, I did find one little 2 ounce cup of the stuff.
It takes milk to make the stuff, but noooo... down the drain it goes.
Got the first batch in the dehydrator now.

    Hope everyone is doing fine.
