Hey folks, I have the Nuavia Blu. And I love it, expense and all. I am one who thinks it is worth it. I was wondering if anyone had experience with their line of Pure20? Pure20 Vetiver or Pure 20 Damn fine Shave. The Pure20 is a little over 13 bucks. A far cry from the 60 (not including shipping!) I suspect a no-brainer, but i like to ask around. Any feedback would be helpful. Thanks DB
I wondered too but couldn't find any reviews anywhere. Anyway, I just ordered a tub of each from Connaught Shaving since I was getting some other soaps and stuff and wanted to hit the free shipping level. Should be here in about a week and I will post a review when I try it. I can't compare it to the ceramic pots of soap though since I have never tried them -- no dealer in Canada and very expensive. Actually that was one of the things I had gone to the Connaught site to look at when I spotted the newer and cheaper offering.
It is one of the soaps that are in the top 2 to buy next list. Like the original Panna Crema. Hear the Pure20 is even better. Look forward to seeing your review of it Screwtape
Just found an excellent review of it on The Shave Nook by nikos.a, a longtime, highly experienced member from Greece who has used and reviewed (and liked) all three of the Nuavia pots as well as many other top European and American soaps. The big difference between Pure2O and the Nuavia line is that Pure2O is a tallow soap and Nuavia is vegan. It sounds like Pannacrema had an older tallow soap line that is now discontinued and Pure2O is a reintroduction of an upgraded and improved version. Lathers well and very very slick with a good postshave feel as if a balm had already been applied. But for complex lingering scent and for postshave feel not quite in Nuavia's class. Nikos.a sums it up by saying that "Nuavia is a premium vegan soap at a premium price in a beautiful ceramic bowl, while the Pure2O is a tallow soap at an affordable price in a quality plastic bowl." He also said that the new tallow soap is "one of the best European artisanal products". Hope that helps everybody. It certainly relieves my concerns about the flyer I took on an unknown product...
Score! Out of curiosity I asked my wife which of the 11 soaps I had, she liked the best... Winner? Nuavia Blu!
