I just got some NOS personna 74 blades for my schick injector. They were still in the sealed cardboard box. I went to put a blade in my razor only to find that the blades over time have become all stuck together. I'm thinking may have been some oil on the blades and it has solidified over time any ideas how to unstick the blades. I don't want to destroy the injector if I don't have to.
At a guess.... soak the whole shooting match in a detergent-water mixture? Or a good soaking of WD-40 maybe? But, I'll wait to see what the experts say.
I had a problem with some generic blades I bought, I put a couple of drops of mineral oil on the container of DE/SS and they are working great now.
I agree. Mineral oil should work and it won't go rancid like olive oil and the like. Good luck. I can't wait to hear how they shave.
You can find the Mineral oil at any store. They also sell it @ sewing machine stores. I was given a Conair Beard Trimmer years ago as a gift and any place that sells them should have the mineral oil.
