Picked Up A 1957 Super Speed Flare Tip Code C-1

    That is a nice, clean and complete set.

    I like those models too. I do find them just a little "petite" in my hand but I love the simplicity of the design.

    Here are my X4-'52 and NDC-'49 versions.

    Are clean superspeeds really selling for $30? It's been a while since I've purchased a Gillette superspeed off ebay. Cased examples were selling for about $25-30 then. Loose razors were about $15.

    If you like the early Superspeeds then also don't overlook the Black Tip models. They are interesting in that during 1950-51 Gillette used alternative materials for the handles (aluminum and steel) because of the demand for brass for munitions during the Korean war. These models are very similar to the 1947-54 razors providing the same mild and smooth shave.
