Does the "Apple Dumpling Gang" count? Yea, I know it not all gritty and tough but it is a good movie. I remember mom taking me to see it when it first came out. Gotta love Don Knotts and Tim Conway!

Congrats @dmshaver! A nice plethora of gunpowder type TSD scents to keep the "guns a blazin"

 

I received the soaps today. First shave will be tomorrow. Can't decide which soap to lead off with. I've got a day to decide, so no need to get my blood pressure up over it. Thank you @COMPNOR!

 

I'd like to experience the gunpowder scent...just working on those "18 Manly Smells" listed by Brett McKay of Art of Manliness.

 

That's what would happen to me-rising blood pressure before I say "OK, gunsmoke it is".

 

I think gunmetal was the scent I most enjoyed

I didn't get a shave in yesterday after all. I had shoulder surgery last week, & some days are better than others. I had tears in my labrum & rotator cuff that were repaired. I hope I stay on top of the pain today & get a shave in later. I have smelled each & they are all excellent, mild, full bodied scents. I've decided I'll use Gunmetal first. I will certainly post my thoughts after each shave.

It took me a day longer than I thought, but I got a shave in finally today. My recovery from shoulder surgery is taking longer than I hoped for, & the pain level is higher than I hoped for too. I used the Gunmetal soap today, & I'm very pleased with the quality of the soap. The soap lathered easily, provided nice slickness, & what I am most pleased with is the post shave feel, WOW, very nice! The scent of the Gunmetal is quite nice, I would describe it as a mild hint of earthy, sweet leather. It is a mild scent which I prefer in my soaps. @COMPNOR, I look forward to shaving with the other soaps you sent as well. Thank you for your generosity!

And by the way, the blue plastic tubs you sent the soap in are very cool, any idea where one can get those?

 

Amazon should have them. The soaps originally didn't come in any container so I went and found some. There is also a website that has such containers and that might have been where I got them. Would have to check.
