    Greetings Denizens:

This is a PIF open to anyone in the USA (all 50 states) but will probably appeal to newer DE shavers the most. (The low monetary value of this PIF makes customs/overseas postage impractical.)

    Here's what's up...

I am in the middle of a 30day rule and that means I have completed a blade sampler and have extras! The Alum is also a fave of mine--instant feedback on technique while refreshing and soothing freshly shaved skin. Alum is part of my routine, maybe it should be a part of yours too! (This also marks a month on TSD and this is post 100.)

    Here's what you do:
Reply to this thread with "I am in".

    -or-

If you wanna list your favorite track by eighties rock legends the Smiths or tell me your favorite holiday foodstuff, I will consider that to be an entry as well.

    The goods:

    The actual score:
Winner will receive 1 (new) Gentleman Jon Alum Block, and 2 pieces each of the blades pictured. My fave of the bunch was Silver Blue, maybe you will find a fave as well.

Contest closes at time listed in title, winner TBA @ approximately 12:00 PDT on October 17, 2014. The winning username will be tagged on this thread. The winner will be chosen via random number generator. Please no heavy chatter on this thread, no like button on replies...If I like your post...you have been entered! Prize will be shipped via USPS on October 18, 2014.

    God Bless and Happy Tuesday!

I'm not familiar with the Smiths. Looked em up on Google, and now I'm interested. As far as holiday food, I'm from AZ, and one of our family traditions has always been Tamales on Christmas.

    Lovely PIF. :happy096:

I'm not in, but wanted to point out there are no customs forms or extra cost to ship to Alaska or Hawaii. They are exactly the same as shipping to all the other states.

Kind of funny but we have tamales for Christmas too. Its an interesting back story, me and my wife met online while she she was in California finishing college. She had been talking to me online using a video chat program so we had never met face to face or had our first date. It was about 2 months later when she had came home to Oklahoma to spend Christmas with her folks. She surprised me showing up on my doorstep holding a bag of frozen tamales So on Christmas eve we had our first date. We went to a late movie and tried to go to dinner but being Christmas eve very little places were open so we went back to my place and i cooked her the tamales but i had no chili or cheese to go with it and all the stores were closed except for a Vietnamese convenience store who just happened to have 1 dusty can of chili on the shelf "i know Christmas miracle right" anyways that's been our Christmas eve tradition ever since.

Never tried alum or any of the blades you have shown.

I was born in 1988 (still probably not a good excuse) and never listened to the Smiths as far as I know but I will listen to as much as I can soon because you got me interested.

My favorite holiday food is honey spiral ham. I'm not sure if that's mainly a holiday food but that seems to be the only time I have it.

Great pif and good luck to everyone.

Not in, but still want to share.

My mom is from Puerto Rico. My family lives all over the country and some still live in Puerto Rico. Whenever we're together, it's a big deal. We're usually eating mofongo, pernil, arroz con gandules, and dancing salsa. It's something I'll carry on with my cousins and sister when it's up to us to carry on the tradition.

I smoked a turkey this past weekend as practice for Turkey Day. I was very happy with the results and look forward to making a larger one next month.

I like to make holiday foods that double as centerpieces like Crown Roasts or Suckling Pig.

Chedder cheese fondue on Christmas Eve made with my Dad. When were kids and we didn't have much, he used to spread a sheet on the floor and we'd have cheddar cheese fondue by candle light, which was magical. So as my folks are getting older this is a great way to connect and relive some pretty cool family memories. Please count me in.
