I have the answer for certain. However, I did have my first kit, but the AOS brush fell completely apart on the second use, the razor is a no-name, and I was able to get just the Personnas locally, but no soaps yet. So, I'll PM you the answer and let you be the judge. No harm no foul

The correct answer was, as Josey figured out--and John did, as well--Miyamoto Musashi, famed samurai (he fought his duel with Kojiro here in Yamaguchi prefecture!) and author of The Book of Five Rings!
