Here we go again... just finished up the second of a pair of Henckels I've been working on. This is a 72 1/2 round tip. I cut the scales from the same piece of pistachio as the first razor. Next I'll be making a box for this pair, pistachio of course. Here ya go, pics of both.....

That pistacia is awesome! I know it might be a dumb question, but is it the tree that produces the pistaccio nut?

Yeps, it's one and the same. Very dense hard wood. I was warned by the man who supplied this to me, that I should not mix the saw dust from this wood with other saw dust in my vac system. He had a fire at his mill while he was cutting up the tree.

    So............did you test this? ;)

Oh? Due to combustable oil content or that it gets so hot?

Not gonna even try to test this!!! :D

Yes, it's the old spontaneous combustion thing and I ain't taking any chances.

Well, I've put the box build off for a bit. I have 3 other Henckels that are in various states of rework. So this makes 5, which is close to 7, so the box keeps growing.... I need 2 more to make a 7 day set. Plus I have a few rescaling projects that I have taken on for members of shaving forums. I think I'm booked!:rofl This sort of thing happens to me with other hobbies as well. I just need to make sure I don't let myself get swamped. I'll update as I finish "MY" razors. Thanks to all for the nice posts :o:D
