I have been enjoying Eucris and Stirling Bonaparte but would like to step up my game into a TOBS or GEOF Trumper scent soap like say Eton college. What do you guys like for a complex masculine scent and not the usual? Thanks!
Gotcha..... Tobs makes great creams. I have avocado and coconut. Neither are complex scents though. But tobs avocado is the best cream made in my opinion.
Eton is one if my favorites. Truefitt and Hill 1805 or Trafalgar are nice. I also like GFT though not for everybody.
Frozen Tundra if you like heavy-duty menthol. That scent is brought about by something like seven different essential oils and it's lovely!
If you have your heart set on TOBS or GFT I would recommend Jermyn Street (citrus cologne type scent), and Spanish Leather. If you want a soap with a complex scent I would recommend Barrister & Mann (Leviathan, Vetyver Santal, Seville) Chiseled Face Sherlock is a very complex scent, but it is not for everyone. It has a dirt, leather, lemon scent that is beautifully done.
If complex scents are your thing, and I dont know where you live: (you already mentioned Stirling), Soap Commander, Chiseled Face, and Caties Bubbles all have complex scents.
At the risk of derailing this thread, one of the more complex scents I've come across is Tabac. Some love it and some hate it, but I've found that over the span of 15+ plus shaves, different parts of the scent have come out. You can buy a sample from Gary's sample shop and try it a few times before trying a full puck.
