Do you carry one? Lets hear about them. Were they handed down, special presents, get you out of a tough jam? My hand down is an older Swiss Army before all the wrenches etc were added. The other one is a Ken Onion Kershaw assisted 1/2 serrated. When out backpacking I also carry a Boker Orca dive knife. The knife is great because it has a micro serrated edge which means is doesn't dull quickly. It is a great work tool. Heavy as hell great for cracking coconuts or kindling.
I carry a small wood handled quick assist one hand opened super stiff spring and quick draw cheapo. Its got a 3" blade. It gets the job done. Whether working in the lab or walking home at night, its a useful tool.
I carry the larger of these A. G. Russell titanium folders, the lockback. It's so thin and lightweight I hardly realize it's in my pocket. It's so sharp and handy I hate to be without it. http://www.agrussell.com/a-g-russellandtrade;-25-titanium-lockback-folder/p/RUShhhP6TI/
I also have a small Buck penknife I use as my "dress" knife, since it looks a lot more like a "gentleman's knife".
Every day, I carry one of three, WIlliam Henry damascus and carbon fiber, a Chris Reeves small classic sebenza, or a tiny little Atwood Booger. In the woods I carry a Spyderco Endura.
Usually, I carry a spyderco navigator II. If I want something more substantial, I carry a Benchmade Dejavoo. Jordan
Carrying a knife in public is prohibited by law in Sweden. But I do carry a carton-cutter when working.
Sorry Dragon. What are the Swedish laws on that. I would never survive. I need to carry at least one knife. Without one i literally feel naked.
I carry a Gerber multi-tool with a short blade (~2-1/2"). I've owned a couple of those little ~1" swiss army knives but wore them both out doing more with those little tools than was intended, hence the Gerber. I also used to carry a Leatherman, but when my dad sent the Gerber for Christmas a couple years ago, I gave the smaller Leatherman to my wife.
I carry a small 2 bladed congress style pocket knife made by Rigid (a United Cutlery brand); it’s a model RG84. Its 3 inches long when closed and is perfect for all my needs. I have two of them in case I lose one because it’s a discontinued model. Not a fancy knife, but I like it.
I have a Benchmade Stryker that I carry. It's actually the second one I've owned. My ex's brat of a son snagged my other one and lost it. I don't condone beating kids.....unless they lose your favorite Benchmade knife!
I carry a few different Benchmade auto openers (switchblade type knives) which ever of the three below tickles my fancy I take to work. I also keep a Benchmade Nimravus on my duty gear. (the sand colored knife) I also typically carry a small H&K/Benchmade auto when I am off duty. (green handle)
When I go out in the forrest I always bring my trusty Leatherman. Never carry a knife in "every day life" since it's against the law...
